Governments and leading experts are warning us that honeybees could disappear from Britain by 2018 entirely.
The problem at the heart of why bees are fast disappearing is being created by neonicotinoids, a group of powerful insecticides.
The products in the Neal’s’ Yard Bee Lovely Collection are sourced from sustainable cooperatives who provide a pure and organic source of honey, so they are made from both the nourishing beeswax and moisturising organic honey, combined with natural essential oils (from sun ripened Italian and Mexican oranges.
The honey comes from a cooperative in south eastern Mexico, that guarantees a fair price and sustainable market for the small-scale farmers.
It contains no synthetic colours or fragrances, no parabens, no GMO and is not tested on animals ?. It carries the Soil Association Organic certification, being made with 80% organic ingredients.
The Neal’s Yard website also says “every time you choose our Bee Lovely collection, as 3% of sales from our Bee Lovely range goes to charities that help protect this humble, vital insect”.
We found that the product lathered very well, was gentle (not irritating), and not drying on the skin. It smells fresh, uplifting, zingy, and (according to the bottle) is mild enough to be used by little people in the family too (aged 3 and above) – a quality product.
What is there not to like?
Bee lovely is LOVELY!
