Create a moment of calm whilst controling your soothing dose of aromatherapy Zen from your mobile app. We review the Oska Diffuser from Neal’s Yard Remedies.

We’ve mentioned in a previous review that in the Ethical Company’s 2017 Good Shopping Guide UK brand Neal’s Yard Remedies (and Green People) scored 100 per cent on their Ethical Company Index.

The author of the report said “Both brands are great examples of ethical companies which started out with a purpose to do things right. Their products are ethical – organic, natural, without animal-cruelty – and the companies behave in a responsible manner.”

At Whatsnewbeautyreviews we have always been fascinated by aromatherapy, which, if you’ve never heard of it, is an alternative therapy that involves the use of volatile plant materials (also known as essential oils) that can be aromatically inhaled by sufferers of a wide variety of medical conditions.

Indeed, the well being enhancing benefits of aromatherapy are known to include its ability to reduce anxiety, ease depression, boost energy levels, speed up the healing process, cure headaches, boost cognitive performance, induce sleep, strengthen the immune system, reduce pain, improve digestion, and increase circulation.

The first thing we noticed when we plucked this lovely Neal’s Yard Remedies Osaka ceramic diffuser from its neat packaging was its real quality feel and sophisticated appearance.

It has a completely unique feature, in being controllable by an app on your mobile device, which allows you to change the colour, turn the light off, or change the mist settings easily – think attractive table lamp emitting your favourite aroma, and with the ability to choose the colour and lighting mood for that perfect Zen moment of calm.

It’s simple and delightful to use, you just add water and a few drops of your favourite essential oils and aromatherapy blends. We loved the option of an intermittent misting or continuous function. It also has a clever auto shut off feature, making it safe and ideal for use around kids or pets in the home.

We used it with two Neal’s Yard aromatherapy blend oils –

Focus (described as an energising blend of stimulating rosemary, refreshing spearmint and uplifting orange, which helps sharpen your mind and brings clarity of thought, leaving you to tackle difficult tasks with renewed vigour) – we found it perfect for the home office,

and

Calming (described as a calming blend of relaxing roman chamomile, restful mandarin and grounding bergamot, which was created with children in mind and helps to gently soothe when they’re over-excited, over-tired or a little grouchy) – it certainly did the trick for this over-tired adult after a long day in the home office.

We say –

“SOPHISTICATED, SERENE, SOOTHING, STIMULATING, SIMPLY STUNNING!”

Very highly recommended by us – you’ll want one for every room in the house.
