Launched in 2018 the new BLEU DE CHANEL Parfum is the third one in in the series, the previous incarnations being BLEU DE CHANEL Eau de Toilette (2010) and BLEU DE CHANEL Eau de Parfum (2014).
As to first impressions, lots of natural, spiky wood and citrus fruit coming through (echoing previous editions), then refreshing grapefruit citrus zests and the fresh sensation of lavender and geranium. As time went by and the day wore on, I noticed more lavender – a crispy character and woody notes (I thought more sandalwood than cedar wood though).
One-to-two sprays at most is sufficient as it lasts quite a while (as you’d expect from a Parfum), with nice medium range projection.
For the summer season, this is just right for all occasions and really hits the spot – creamy smooth, rich and full of citrusy notes.
Subtle, pleasurable and very interesting, we were very impressed with the perfume as a whole!
