With Autumn now firmly in full swing, there’s no better reminder that the Korean beauty industry is still at the forefront of ‘what’s next’ in skincare. Consumer appetite for K-beauty products seems unlikely to drop off any time soon.
The Korean beauty industry is reputedly worth a reported £7.5bn, with 10% of that being attributable to men. South Koreans are now the biggest consumers of men’s grooming products in the world.

Just to highlight the media interest in this phenomenon, the BBC ran a recent news story of North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un visiting a cosmetics factory in Pyongyang, accompanied by his wife Ri Sol-ju and sister Kim Yo-jong.

It is badged as suitable for all skin types and we certainly found it suited for our tester’s sensitive skin. The instructions prescribe application by smoothing a thin layer over cleansed skin before bed, then rinsing off with lukewarm water in the morning.
It has a gorgeous smell and leaves the skin feeling soft, even, smooth and hydrated. This can no doubt be attributed to a cacophony of natural ingredients – shea butter, aloe vera, Vitamin C, olive, jojoba & argan seed oils.
Just to top it off, re:p is a Leaping Bunny cruelty-free certified brand and the company uses eco-friendly packaging.
